The recent publication of Lord Davies’ report and its surrounding press coverage has brought the issue of gender diversity even more firmly to the fore around many board tables. As a leading board search firm, we have been closely involved with the consultative process feeding into the Davies review of Women on Boards.
We have always promoted the value that diversity of thinking, experience and perspective can bring to a board. Of our non-executive board placements over the past 24 months, nearly a quarter have been women, and we are proud to have placed the first woman on the boards of four FTSE 250 companies in the last year.
As experts in board composition, we are dedicated to creating engaged boards with all the relevant skills and expertise to lead and support growth. We ensure we are aware of, and in contact with, both the leading women directors and up and coming talent. Given our track record a large number of senior women approach us when looking for initial or further board directorships.
